Yes, literally your entire family is in for a treat when they come to Firehouse Skate ‘N Play.
You might be thinking… “how on earth can my 2 year old roller skate?” OR “maybe they are forgetting that we take grandma on all our family outings.” OR maybe “what about our special needs child?” Yes we’ve thought of them too!
- How little is too little to skate?
If your little one can walk, they can skate. We have Roller Skates starting at a child size 8. The smaller skates have wheels that do not roll as quickly. This allows the child to get a better feeling as they begin skating. Our skate wall completely surrounds the skate floor. Many skaters find this helpful to hold on to as they begin to skate. Parents are also welcome to walk on the skate floor to assist their little one. Want to take a break from skating? The little ones can check out the Play Zone!
- What will the baby do?
If your little one isn’t walking, they can have fun too! We allow parents to skate with strollers on our 99 Cent Mondays and our Sunday Matinee sessions. Don’t forget that carrying children while on roller skates is not allowed during any skating session
- What about Grandma?
As for Gandma, she is welcome on the skate floor to help her grandchild. For a more hands off experience, we have Free Wifi and a full snack bar area!
- We can meet your special needs child.
Some parents are shocked to find out that their child loves the skate floor, even if they are not the best at skating. Don’t let your mind restrict what you child can do, let them try it! Depending on the size of the skate you can request for the “tighter wheels” if needed. If skating is out of the question we have a HUGE indoor playground that is great for ages 11 or younger. Some may find the arcade games entertaining also!
